There are so many great series on Netflix that we have broken them up into three categories.

1. Must-See – Ten of the best series on Netflix that everyone should tick off their list.

2. Binge Watching – Ten of the best series to binge watch while snuggled under your duvet and in your favourite pyjamas.

3. Watch & Go – Ten of the best series to watch when you don’t have the time to lie around all day, or you just want a light-hearted laugh.

3. Watch & Go – Ten of the best series to watch when you don’t have the time to stay sitting for long, or you don’t have the headspace for a serious drama.

1. Modern Family

Modern Family is one of (if not the) most successful comedies of today. The sitcom has been running since 2009 and has currently aired five seasons. There is something for everyone in this one, if you don’t die laughing at Phils hilarious humour, you’ll soon fall in love with the endearing (and equally hilarious) Cam.

3. Arrested Development

Another American sitcom, this series aired its first three series on Fox from 2003 to 2006, but its fourth series was picked up by none other than – Netflix. The 15 episodes in season four all aired in May of 2013, a movie version of the comedy is also underway.

4. Catfish

If you haven’t seen Catfish the movie – you just really should. Both the film and the tv show are available on Netflix and they’re both great. The show is prefect for once-off watches as it won’t leave you with cliff-hangers that ultimately destroy your plans for the day. People starting relationships online along with the show’s realistic documentary style, means for a great watch.

5. Doctor Who

This British science-fiction programme is like no other. Since 2005 the show has aired seven seasons and hundreds of episodes – and they’re still not done. Peter Capaldi took over in 2014 after Matt Smith left during the previous Christmas special.

6. Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl was one of those cult classics that sparked trends, created stars and defined a generation. The show ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012 and aired 121 episodes. The perfect show to get stuck in to now if you missed the bandwagon years ago.

7. Little Britain

Little Britain is a comedy sketch show that is ideal for people who just love ridiculous comedy. If you take yourself very seriously, I’d definitely give it a miss. The series had three successful seasons from 2003-2006.

8. Gavin and Stacey

Gavin and Stacey is a romantic comedy set in Wales. The show’s success is down to the excellent characters who all have hilarious parts to play in the couple’s relationship. The show left fans severely disappointed when they decided to end it after three seasons.

10. The Real Housewives of New York City

Let’s be honest, train wreck reality television is a lot of people’s guilty pleasures, and it doesn’t get much better than the real housewives. Even with the many cast changes throughout the seasons they have still remained on top and are currently airing their sixth season.
